Recognizing and Responding to Human Trafficking for Behavioral Health Professionals

The National Human Trafficking Training and Technical Assistance Center and the Hamilton Center, Inc. will host a 3-hour virtual training that examines trauma and the effects of human trafficking on behavioral health patients and how to best identify and respond as a behavioral health professional. At the end of the virtual training, participants will be able to do the following: 

  • Understand the impact trauma can have on individuals who have experienced trafficking. 

  • Recognize the signs of trafficking in behavioral health settings. 

  • Apply a trauma-informed approach to screening and working with behavioral health patients who have experienced trafficking.
