NHTTAC’s free trainings can help you better serve your clients, patients, and families who may be affected by human trafficking.
These trainings are designed to teach you how to identify and respond to trafficking where you work. The trainings use the SOAR Framework to help you:
- Describe the types of human trafficking and potential risk factors
- Identify individual and environmental indicators of trafficking
- Screen and identify individuals who may have experienced trafficking
- Utilize a trauma-informed, person-centered, multidisciplinary approach to assess and respond to the unique needs of individuals who have experienced trafficking

Foundational Training
The foundational SOAR trainings are intended for providers who are new to anti-trafficking work or who would like a refresher on trafficking concepts. Before taking our advanced trainings, we recommend that providers complete a combination of our foundational trainings.

This 0.5-hour training teaches you how to strengthen your service delivery by learning tips and strategies for working with diverse populations.

SOAR Online is a series of on-demand training modules that offer continuing education/continuing medical education credits that you can complete on your own schedule
Live Training
The on-demand SOAR modules can be delivered in-person or virtually for a live training experience. The live trainings are ideal for groups—including organizations, conferences, and other meetings.
