The Office on Trafficking in Persons through the National Human Trafficking Training and Technical Assistance Center (NHTTAC) is excited to offer its SOAR Training of Trainers (ToT) series for the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). Each session in this virtual three-part series will cover a different topic. Each session will be held from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm FSM time (September 19-21, 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm ET).
Training Overview and Registration
- Session 1 – Training Development and Delivery: September 20, 2022. After completing this training, you will be able to:
- Define each adult learning principle and how it is important for effective training development and delivery.
- Describe core facilitation skills and implementation strategies.
- Identify different methods for engaging learners during in-person and virtual trainings.
- Explain techniques for managing challenging participants.
- Session 2 – SOAR to Health and Wellness: September 21, 2022. After completing this training, you will be able to:
- Explain how the SOAR Framework and guiding principles support professionals in identifying and responding to human trafficking.
- Practice effective techniques for delivering SOAR to Health and Wellness to professionals.
- Describe the roles and responsibilities for delivering SOAR training.
- Session 3 – SOAR for Indigenous Communities: September 22, 2022. After completing this training, you will be able to:
- Explain how the SOAR Framework and guiding principles support professionals in identifying and responding to human trafficking in indigenous communities.
- Practice effective techniques for delivering SOAR for Indigenous Communities to professionals.
- Describe the roles and responsibilities for delivering SOAR training.
